finally just ran system file checker, found d no problems, but still no apps on the app tab. Release the mouse button to drop the application into a desktop. Click and drag the application, in the preview window, down into an existing desktop. In last week, the "app" tab shows no apps, it is blank' there is a message where the apps belong saying "no data available." deleting usage and reopening task manager does nothing. Click on the Task View icon on the desktop.
